Closing Party: Tim Mikula's "The Endless Portrait Project"
September 9, 8pm to late

Tim Mikula's "The Endless Portrait Project" has been growing in Spazio Performativo all summer long. Tim has been painting portraits every Sunday from 3-5pm with the goal of reaching 1,000 portraits.

Now, it's time to close the show and have a good, old-fashioned party. DJ/cash bar/dancing/good vibes.

This will also be our volunteer appreciation party. Previous volunteers get two free drink tickets! Email admin@milezerodance.com to let us know you're coming.

Pick up your portrait while you're here, so Tim doesn't have to carry them all home. Portraits can be picked up from 10pm onwards.

Spazio Performativo (10816-95 St)
Friday, September 10th
Reception 6-8pm
Party 8pm until the dancing stops

Alberta Culture Days 2016: MZD Host Celebration Site

Mile Zero Dance is excited to have been chosen as one of ten host celebration sites for this year's Alberta Culture Days.

On Saturday, October 1st, we are presenting a day of free performances, including Send in the Girls Burlesque, Bill Yong & Chad Bryant, Tianna the Traveller, Richard Lee, Amber Borotsik, Gerry Morita, and more. On Saturday evening, we are holding a community dance party.

On Sunday, October 2nd, we are presenting a day of free classes! Free, free, free.

The weekend will also include a custom mural painted on the back wall of our performance space, a visual art installation in the front gallery space, and so much more. Stay tuned for details on our Facebook event.

If you are interested in performing on October 1st, take a look at our call for submissions (and spread the word to anyone who might be interested).
The Dance Spot: Email Highlights

In the spring, Tim Folkmann's "The Dance Spot" was located outside Spazio Performativo. This installation invited passersby to press a button and dance. Those who dared press the button would cue lights and music, and would see themselves dancing on a screen in the window.

Now, we have compiled a "greatest hits" collection of videos and will be releasing them to email subscribers. Signing up is quick, easy, and free - and you can sign up on our website.
