Crowdnetic Closes $1.6 Million in Seed Funding

Signifying the investment community’s growing enthusiasm for crowdfinance,
Crowdnetic, leading provider of market data solutions for the global crowdfinance industry and parent of NowStreet Wire, announced this week that it has closed a $1.6 million seed round. The funds will be used to expand its real-time, global data and technology infrastructure that serves as the backbone for rising crowdfinance asset classes such as securities-crowdfunding and p2p lending.

Much like NASDAQ, when it emerged in 1971 as a quotron for 2500 OTC securities, Crowdnetic’s quotation framework currently provides transparency on the thousands of private issuers currently raising capital under the new Reg D 506c exemption (a.k.a. PIPRs “Private Issuers Publicly Raising”).

Will Reg A crowdfinanced structures replace the dying small cap IPO?

Although there hasn’t been as much attention drawn to Title IV of the JOBS Act, raising the Reg A threshold to $50M and exempting Reg A offerings from state blue sky laws can potentially transform the small cap equity markets - particularly in conjunction with a viable venture exchange and crowd-investing principles.

Join us for a timely and informative webinar as key sponsor of the JOBS Act, Congressman Patrick McHenry as well as industry influencers: David N. Feldman, Partner at Richardson& Patel LLP and Samuel S. Guzik, of Guzik & Associates illustrate how Reg A can play a critical role in facilitating capital formation.

Key discussion points will include:
  • Can Reg A Crowdfinanced Offerings replace the conventional small cap IPO?
  • Examining Tier 1 and Tier 2 Reg A offerings
  • Exempting Reg A from state blue sky laws
  • Reg A Crowdfinance versus Title III Crowdfinance
  • Is a JOBS Act 2.0 in our imminent future?
