The December Pain Free Report from Performance Health Center

One Minute A Day To Better Health

Last January I wrote a Blog about New Year’s Resolutions:
Well, this year I found a recent study that may help us “stick” with one of the most commonly started and “dropped” resolutions… and that is to start and continue exercising on a regular basis.
In August I wrote a Blog about a Research Study that concluded you can add 3 years to your Life Expectancy by running only 5 minutes per day.
Well, just this week I read an article in the New York Times about how exercising just 1 minute a day can make significant improvements to your health!     (Continue Here)

Do I Need an Adjustment?

Several patients asked me the same question in December.  How can I know if I need a chiropractic adjustment?  This is an excellent question.  There can be several answers based on your philosophy of health.  Are you healthy if you are not in pain, or are you pro-active with your health and follow the World Health Organizations Definition of Health, adapted in 1948- “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”  Chiropractic care emphasizes the physical part of health.   Getting people of pain is usually not difficult if the cause is physical.  The real benefit of chiropractic care is to optimize function and minimize the risk of developing arthritis, and if you already have arthritis, slowing or arresting the degenerative process so you can enjoy doing the activities for as long as you want.  The choice is yours. (Continue Here)

First, I would recommend changing the word “resolutions” to “GOALS”.  Many people set all kinds of goals through out various times of the year that they are able to commit to and achieve as well.  I keep a wall board that I write out my goals and tasks that I can look at daily, or cross off as I complete those goals or tasks.  I usually change and re-write my goals every 2-3 months as I achieve them.(Read More)
