It's Not Easy Being Number Three storytime with Drew Dernavich
Saturday, April 2, 11 am

The Number Three is having an identity crisis-there are so many other things he could do with his life; why stop at being just a number? He tries being a ship's anchor, a spatula, even a shiny bronze sculpture, and he won't listen when the other numbers beg him to come back to the lineup. But after awhile, Number Three starts to realize that what he enjoys most is the job no one else can do: being the Number Three. Award-winning New Yorker cartoonist Drew Dernavich will read from his debut picture book, It's Not Easy Being Number Three and lead an exciting activity that shows that numbers are (literally) all around us.

What's Past is Prologue: A celebration of the works of Shakespeare
Saturday, April 23, 1 pm

This year will mark the 400th anniversary of the death of Shakespeare. So  many of the books that we stock in our little indie store have been influenced by this man and his writings. To celebrate that we will take over the Grove Square Plaza and fill it with the words of the bard for one glorious afternoon of performances from our favorite plays by local Jersey actors. Also, you’ll be able to pick out some interesting books on, by, or inspired by William Shakespeare from our on-site bookstore.

RSVP encouraged, but not required.

Light refreshments will be served.

RSVP encouraged, but not required.
