Easy Beef Stew

Layer in 9x13 pan:
2 lb. Stew meat                                      
2 Medium onions, quartered
6 Carrots, cut up                                 
Potatoes (if desired)
3 Stalks celery, cut up
2 tsp. Salt       
1 tbsp. Sugar
2 tbsp. Minute tapioca
Sprinkle on top. Pour (drizzle)  ¾ cup tomato juice over all. Cover tightly with foil. Bake 41/2 hours at 250.

Cooking tip for the day: Potatoes soaked in salt water for 20 minutes before baking will bake more rapidly.
