#EuropeWeWant - first online candidate debate!

CONCORD is pleased to invite you to our first livestream candidate debate ahead of the upcoming European Parliament elections.

The debate is the first action of the new Europe We Want campaign. Our first debate will be with current MEP and European Commission candidate Franziska Keller.

Upcoming EPAN WG meeting
The EPAN WG will be meeting on the 9th of April to discuss the upcoming activities of the WG in the Neighbourhood, debate internal issues and further develop its action. The meeting will be held in the new offices of ALDA (Rue de la Science 14b, 1000 Brussels), from 16:30 to 18:30.

Call for expert on Code of Conduct
Within the scope of the ongoing process of drafting a Code of Conduct for the NGO Members of the Portuguese NGDO Platform, the platform is looking for an external expert/entity to support and boost this process, intended to be both inclusive and participatory, so that the end result may be a suitable document to be recognised as a Guide to the conduct of its members.

CONCORD visit to Spanish National platform
CONCORD Director Seamus Jeffreson travelled to Madrid on 19 March to speak at the GA of our member Coordinadora, which represenst around 2 million citizens in Spain and is composed of 450 organizations. The platform started an internal reflection process around the political narrative, lookin at options to build the future of the sector. Seamus also met the Spanish General Secretary of Development Cooperation, in a conference alongside with Leire Pajin (UNDP Secretariat 2015), Hildegard Lignau (OECD), Bernardette Vega (AMEXCID-GPEDC HLF) and Bruno Moro (MDG Fund). Seamus presented CONCORD's positions on inequalities and the MDG’s, in the Post-2015 framework and on the role of the the global civil society partnership.
