The entire month of November has many shopping opportunities to draw visitors to Grand Rapids.  The first weekend of November through first part of December local shops hold Holiday Open Houses where attendees can register for prizes and sample goodies. Opening Deer Hunting weekend has the largest variety of craft shows, boutiques and open houses. The Boutiques represent a smaller group selling home goods to gifts; and the Craft Shows range from artists work to homespun gifts.  There are many Girlfriend Weekend opportunities in November in Grand Rapids.


World Renowned Performances

The Reif Center in Grand Rapids

There are many opportunities to take in a world renowned performance at the Myles Reif Perforance Art Center in Grand Rapids.  Upcoming performances include: Good Lovelies, Peter Pan Children's Theater, Paula Poundstone, Rocky Mountain High, Tribute to John Denver, and Flamenco Dance.  Grand Rapids is close enough to be convenient, but far enough for a real escape.  Check out the wide variety of lodging options with a view in Grand Rapids.

Forest History Center in Grand RapidsInto the Woods 

This fall season the Forest History Center in Grand Rapids is offering unique educational programming for the whole family.   In November some of the programs to be offered: Kick Off the Seasoning (create seasonings for cooking or to give as a gift); Lumberjack Cooking (learn some hearty meal ideas); Northwoods Jewelry Showcase (jewelry artists will be on hand to showcase their artwork created from northwoods inspiration).  The cost of events varies but usually it is regular admission pricing: $9/adults, $7/seniors and students, $7/children 6-17 and children under 6 are FREE.  Check out a complete list of their programs on their facebook page .
