Visit Grand Rapids Rolls Out New Website

April 4, 2013
Visit Grand Rapids unveils a new look and feel that will help the visitor in planning their next getaway to the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area. "The website domain has not changed, but the design, layout and addition of resources has", shares the VGR Executive Director, Megan Christianson. Visit Grand Rapids staff worked one on one with Art Unlimited and a team of lodging properties, retain business owners, and area attraction employees to design a more user friendly format that allows for more interaction that is compatible with mobile technology. The design that was used aligns with the Grand Rapids area community brand, "It's In Minnesota's Nature". The community went through a branding effort in 2008-2011. The imagery, color schemes, and photography that is used throughout the website aligns perfectly to express the wonderful natural asset that Grand Rapids has to offer visitors. New additions to the website is a trip planner where the visitor shares a basic information about what they are looking for in creating a trip to the Grand Rapids area, and then the Visit Grand Rapids staff can better serve the visitors planning needs. Another new tool is the tourist journal for visitors to share their comments and suggestions about the area. Check it out:
