Welcome to new Board members and staff, Starseed Foundation MATCHING GRANT CHALLENGE!
Dear <<First Name>>,
Our 11th season has boasted increased attendance for our Concert Series, record numbers at our Annual Gala, and expansive growth in school visits and students involved in our Educational Outreach programs. We are also fortunate to once again receive the cover story exposure in Cascade Arts & Entertainment Magazine for the month of June (see the sidebar to the right). I have been busy working on the lineup for our next season, and can't wait to share that info with you!
In the meantime, I would like to introduce two new members of our Board. They have jumped right into our organization with such enthusiasm and dedication and I look forward to working with them to continue fulfilling our mission.
Kate Tiernan is General Manager at Yellowknife Wireless Company, and brings with her a diverse history including being Executive Director of the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra and a Board member of the Casper Area Community Foundation.
Charlie Wintch is Founder and CEO of EntrepreNeurd, LLC. She has been the Special Events Chair of the Junior League of Salt Lake City, and after moving to Bend, has been a member of the Board of Directors for the High Desert Region Porsche Club of America.
They join current members Ethan Gray (President), David Gilmore (Secretary), Rick Samco (Treasurer), Patricia Rogers, and Betsy Warriner.
Also new to HDCM this month is Wendy Warren, Administrative Assistant. She recently moved to Bend from Portland, and brings her lifelong love of classical music to our organization. She has been a long-time volunteer with the Portland Youth Philharmonic, and has also served as the Orchestra Manager for a period of time. I would also like to thank Melissa Eaton for the past three years of assistance, support, and guidance. She was a valued member of our team, and I wish her the best in her future endeavors!
Starseed Foundation matching challenge
The challenge is on, and we are so close to making this goal! Every dollar is worth two to HDCM. These matching opportunities are invaluable for a young organization as ours, and we must take full advantage of the opportunity. Donations can be made online, by mail, or in person at our office. Your support is greatly appreciated!
