Strategic Governance, Risk & Reputation News
June 30, 2015
Greetings,

I am back from an extraordinary trip to Brazil where the Third Annual Latin America Ethics Summit sponsored by Ethisphere was a great success with many attendees from all over Latin America  and beyond (the US and Europe) and a sense from all that ethics, compliance and risk management are definitely taking root and beginning to spread throughout the region. My trip also included a jaunt to beautiful tropical Recife to deliver a reputation risk and resilience workshop to the executive team of a major new corporate client headquartered there. See photos above and below.

This month I am very proud and humbled to announce the expansion of the GEC Risk Advisory Council with three new leaders in their fields -- Ken Frankel, Annette Heuser and Simon Franco from Canada/the US, Germany and Brazil, respectively. We are extraordinarily grateful to each and every one of them for their willingness to support and counsel our growing business. Please see more information in the sidebar.

I am also extremely proud to welcome  my great friend and mentor, Professor Prakash Sethi, a true luminary and pioneer in social auditing, global codes of conduct and CSR, to the expanded team at GEC Risk.

Lastly, from June 22-26, Jacqueline Brevard and I co-taught our second cohort of students at the NYU Corporate Compliance & Ethics Certification Program.  It was a great success with almost 50% more students than our first cohort in February and including wonderful guest teachers and friends Emmanuel Lulin, Chief Ethics Officer of L'Oreal, Mary Gentile of Giving Voice to Values fame, and Matthias Kleinhempel, Business Professor at IAE Business School in Buenos Aires.

July promises to continue to be engaging and varied with several new client engagements and deadlines on important new thought leadership pieces for the Conference Board (on cyber-risk governance), Hiperos  (on third party cross-functional collaboration) and a major African client (on the future of CSR).

Until the end of July - have a great month!

Andrea
