This month and in honor of the one year anniversary of #MeToo I share a provocatively titled but, I assure you, carefully considered piece written with my good friend, Dante A. Disparte, CEO of the Risk Cooperative, titled "Pale, Male and Stale: Does Board Diversity Matter?" this month's cover story for Risk Management Magazine.
We argue that if the boards of several scandal ridden companies - The Weinstein Company, Wynn Resorts, Uber, Wells Fargo and others - had been substantially more diverse at the time of their scandal, perhaps their existential or strategic scandals would not have been as severe. Take a look and let me know what you think! Related and also shared below is a link to my 3-part NACD blogpost on Governance and Culture in which I lay out the context for #MeToo, tools for overseeing corporate culture and how culture and ESG are intimately interrelated.
