Greetings,
For those in the Northern Hemisphere, welcome back to work after a hopefully excellent summer!
I am delighted to share a Special Report titled "Reputation Risk in the Age of Hyper-Transparency: What Leaders Need to Know" / "El Riesgo Reputacional en la Era de la Hiper-Transparencia: Lo que los Lideres Necesitan Saber" which I co-authored with Jorge Cachinero, Corporate Director at leading Iberian/Latin American communications consultancy, Llorente & Cuenca.
The Special Report, which is partly based on my forthcoming book, The Reputation Risk Handbook: A Practical Guide for Managers, Executives & Boards (due out in October 2014) is available in English and Spanish here: http://www.gecrisk.com/publications-media/
Ethical Boardroom Magazine also just published my article on "Implementing a Holistic Governance, Risk and Reputation Strategy for Multinationals: Guidelines for Boards & Executives".
This piece provides a holistic strategic perspective for boards and c-suites on how to organize the myriad GRC and reputation management programs, functions and initiatives that often populate global companies in an inefficient, unhelpful or impractical way.
A few weeks ago, I had the good fortune to be interviewed by NYSE Governance Services for their video series Inside Compliance. The host, Eric Morehead, VP, and I had a far ranging conversation around two main topics for episodes being aired in September and October: the role of governance and risk in a compliance program and how leaders and boards can best get their arms around reputation risk. The above photo was taken at the recording - as you can see the NYSE trading floor was just below us! You can find past Inside Compliance episodes here: http://welcome.corpedia.com/resource-center/video-library/ and watch this newsletter for links to the two new episodes on September 17th and October 15th.
Lastly, we are very pleased to share our strategic partner RepRisk AG's most recent report on the "Most Controversial Mining Projects" of the last two years. Check it out - their methodology and research is spot on and super-useful.
Cheers and until next month!
