Strategic Governance, Risk & Reputation Management News
Strategic Governance, Risk & Reputation News
August 14, 2014

Greetings,

This month's exciting news is that Ethical Corporation Magazine has undergone a major digital make-over and we are re-launching The GlobalEthicist column as an interactive monthly feature called The GlobalEthicist Q&A. Each month, I will address a reader question - this month's is from Sonsoles Rubio Reinoso, Chief Compliance Officer of Iberdrola. She asks: "Does an effective ethics and compliance program provide a competitive advantage?". I encourage our readers to submit questions to ECM's editor at Zara.Maung@ethicalcorp.com.

GEC Risk had a good July. We sponsored our first conference anywhere in Sao Paulo, Brazil, speaking on Leadership & Culture Failure Risk (http://bit.ly/MtnjPW) at Ethisphere's Second Annual Latin America Ethics Summit. It was a fascinating few days partly because the venue was amazing (check out the Unique Hotel here: http://bit.ly/Vhma2w) and partly because the event was terrific - a gathering of the best and the brightest minds working on ethics, compliance, leadership and culture in Latin America.

I have finished writing my next book: The Reputation Risk Handbook: A Practical Guide for Managers, Executives and Boards, and delivered the final manuscript to my publisher, DŌ Sustainability. The book will go live in late September in both digital and print-on demand formats. Watch this space for more details soon.

We have other exiciting thought leadership projects percolating and look forward to sharing some of these with you in the coming months. In the meantime, the summer in New York City this year has been nothing short of spectacular - dry sunshine and little humidity - super-unusual and super-welcome. I hope that wherever you are, your weather is good too!

Cheers,

Andrea
