Dear Friends,

I open on a more serious note than usual. As you may know, earlier this year I had the honor of being appointed the independent Ethics Advisor to the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico. The devastating natural / climate events we have witnessed not only in Puerto Rico but in other parts of the Americas and the world (Bangladesh) should act as a humanitarian and resilience wake-up call to each of us as individuals and as organizations, hopefully focusing our collective minds on how we can help operationalize resilience generally in the fraught and risky times we live in. Here is an article from the New York Times that provides guidance on how to help those most affected in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
