RESILIENCE:

ANTIDOTE TO FUTURE PANDEMICS?

Dear Friends,

First and foremost, I hope that you and your loved ones are safe, at home, healthy and vigilant. For those of you who are, or are related to, first responders, thank you from the bottom of our collective hearts.

While we are still in the depths of this crisis, it's not too soon to think about how we might be better prepared to deal with future pandemics and other major strategic and even existential risks - like climate, like cyber, like techno-war and others.

Yesterday on LinkedIn I commented on a piece in The Economist that suggests that financially resilient companies will not only survive but thrive through this crisis. Take a look at it here and below.

My LinkedIn comments went to two additional key factors needed for organizational resilience (based on Chapter 7 of my book Gloom to Boom): (1) responsible leadership and (2) the eight elements of the resilience lifecycle (see details and graphic below) which includes the overall concept of lessons learned, continuous improvement and innovation.

See what you think and leave your comments on Twitter @GlobalEthicist or LinkedIn.

Please be well, stay healthy, physically distant but virtually close!
