Strategic Governance, Risk & Reputation Management News
Strategic Governance, Risk & Reputation News
April 16, 2014

Spring is finally in full swing and the leaves and blossoms are appearing across the Northeast USA. Finally!

We have exciting Spain-related news. Just today, Spain's leading daily newspaper, El Pais, published an opinion piece "The Three Corporate R's" - "La Triple R Corporativa", co-written with Jose A. Herce, a leading Spanish economist at Afi ( and professor at La Universidad Complutense de Madrid. See sidebar to learn more and read.

On June 17th in Madrid, GEC Risk and our strategic partner in Spain, Impact on Integrity (founded and led by Murray Grainger) are running a one day interactive executive workshop on "Integrity, Risk & Reputation". The leading Spanish law firm, Garrigues, is our host for this workshop for senior executives, board members and business people. You can read more about this event in this newsletter and our new two-page flyer in English and Spanish:

We are organizing or participating in a number of Conference Board events in June - please take a look at the events column in this Newsletter. Note that for readers interested in attending the Conference Board Global Strategic & Enterprise Risk Management Conference on June 4-5, 2014 in NYC, we have a special $500 discount code set forth in the sidebar announcement.

In early April, GEC Risk conducted two workshops for two groups of senior executives - one on "Ethical Risk and Risk Culture" for chief risk officers from financial institutions, and the other on "Crisis, Leadership & Culture" for chief audit executives at the Institute for Internal Auditors' spring meeting in Philadelphia. Both were highly interactive, educational and different in interesting ways, based primarily on the functions that were represented. Great lessons were learned that will be invaluable for future workshops.

For those of you celebrating religious holidays this week, we wish you the very best, and for those simply taking a little time off, enjoy! Please email or call with any comments, suggestions or questions.
