Earlier this month, I was honored to be appointed Ethics Advisor to the Financial Oversight and Management Board of Puerto Rico created last year by the US Congress under the Puerto Rico Oversight, Management and Economic Stability Act of 2016 ("PROMESA"). I join my former colleague, retired Cleary Gottlieb partner, Jaime El Koury, who was appointed General Counsel to the Board under PROMESA. I very much look forward to fulfilling this ongoing role while continuing to serve our current and future clients in the private, non-profit and public sectors.
