Searching for the Tallest Sugar Pine

Big, old pines, 150 years or older,  are a good indicator of historical weather patters, good tree genetics and optimal growth conditions. Tree hunters lead by Michael Taylor are looking for the tallest and largest sugar pines and ponderosa pines. The contest is always on!

Sagehen Planting

A big THANK YOU to Patagonia for a fun planting at Sagehen!

Also, THANK YOU to our hosts at Sagehen Creek Field Station and Truckee Ranger District!
