Volunteer Opportunities

Walk in the Park

The Sugar Pine Foundation and the Tahoe Rim Trail Association are teaming up for a morning of education and fun in South Lake Tahoe’s Van Sickle Bi-State Park.

Distance: 3 miles Difficulty: Easy - Moderate Description: As a part of National Trails Day. On our way up to enjoy panoramic vistas with a brief visit to a waterfall, we’ll delve into the intriguing natural and human history of the area, discuss forest topics related to the trail we’re passing through, and see firsthand the impacts of a wildfire burn zone. If you enjoy learning and basking in the stellar views of the jewel of the Sierra, join us!
