The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Mental Health Services, recently released a request for applications for fiscal year 2020 Grants for Expansion and Sustainability of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbances. This opportunity is commonly referred to as System of Care Expansion Grants.

The purpose of this program is to improve the mental health outcomes for children and youth, birth through age 21, with serious emotional disturbance, and their families. Eligible entities include governmental subdivisions of a state, such as county governments, mayor’s offices, or local behavioral health authorities, and federally recognized tribal organizations.
Application Due Date: Monday, February 3, 2020
Texas System of Care, as the statewide collaborative focused on strengthening local childhood mental health systems, encourages applications for this funding opportunity.
