We’re excited to share our inaugural newsletter with you. For some of you, this may be your first formal introduction to Tulsa Responds and are wondering who we are and what we do. Tulsa Responds was created in April 2020 by the George Kaiser Family Foundation to assist small businesses applying for emergency SBA loans and grants. In the 20 months since, we’ve adapted to partner with local organizations to provide FREE navigation services for a host of programs including Medicaid and Healthcare Marketplace enrollment, free tax filing assistance, internet subsidies, SNAP enrollment, and more.
We know that the people who need these services the most are juggling many other needs at once; oftentimes the process is overly complicated and one snag is enough for many to give up. That’s where Tulsa Responds comes in: we’re here to help shoulder that burden, to apply the shortcuts and lessons we’ve learned from other clients, and advocate for additional assistance when necessary. With a little extra help, our clients can successfully access several services that make up our social safety net.
The goal of our newsletter is to update you on the services we’re providing, promote upcoming events, and to share your events and programs. In this month’s newsletter you will learn about:
- A list of our services and how to access them
- Our upcoming family health fair on November 20
- Open enrollment (November 1)
- How you can promote your own events and organization in our next newsletter
Thanks for taking the time to read and learn about Tulsa Responds. We look forward to hearing from you!
