Weaver's Pond Clean-up Work Party on April 4.
|

Volunteers are needed to pull weeds and plant natives at Weaver's Pond on 109th Ave. NE near NE 134th Street in north Juanita. Four work parties are scheduled, each on the first Saturday at 10 am until noon in the months of March, April, May and June. April 4 is the next work party, where we will continue pulling and digging up 45 years of overgrown non-native blackberry bushes, ivy and other weeds. We will be using no chemicals, just shovels and clippers. Bring your gloves, clippers, a shovel and a friend or two. We'll have some extra shovels and clippers available. Rain or shine.

Edith Moulton Work Party on April 11th.

The fourth annual Edith Moulton Park work party will be Saturday April 11 starting at 10 am for about two hours. We'll be doing a bit of weeding, trimming, painting over graffiti and putting gravel on muddy trail areas. All ages invited. Children should bring a small bucket to carry gravel. We'll provide some tools, but if you could bring a wheelbarrow that would be appreciated. See you there!

Celebrate Juanita Beach Park on August 30th!

Come celebrate that we saved Juanita beach park from the ARC. Our annual JNA summer party will be held on Sunday, August 30 on the north side of the park.
This year's theme is:
Celebrate beautiful Juanita Beach Park, our neighbors and their dogs.

Events planned : fun run, live band, dog contests , dance contests and food. Lots of prizes and giveaways.
Volunteers are needed for the event. Let's show the city how we come together and value our beautiful park!

Volunteer to be a Victim on April 25th!

Volunteers are needed for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) final simulation drill on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 12 to 8 pm at the Peter Kirk Community Center in downtown Kirkland. This is the “final exam” for CERT students to demonstrate their search/rescue and first aid skills. To register, go to www.kirklandCERT.com
