Upcoming workshops at Freestone Press

Relief printing workshop

Learn the basics of relief printmaking with Gillian Kline at this 1 day workshop at the Freestone Press studio workshop. Gillian will take you through the process of producing a finished linocut from an image of your choice.

Date: Saturday October 13, 9.30am - 4.30pm. 10 places only - bookings essential.

Cost: $150. Fee covers all materials plus morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, catered by the Riverstone Café.


Bookmaking workshop

Come on a journey with Gali Weiss at this 2 day workshop with Freestone Press. Workshop includes an artist's talk and Gali's own work will be available for purchase on Saturday 3 November from 5pm.

Date: Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November. 10 places only - bookings essential.

Cost: $330. Fee covers all materials plus morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, catered by the Riverstone Café. Fees payable in cash only on first day of workshop before 9.30am.

Residency Opportunity

The University of Ballarat School of Education Arts has an Artist in Residency position available in the Printmaking department for Semester 1, 2013. The University is calling all printmakers to submit an Expression of Interest.

The Artist in Residency gives the successful artist 7 day a week access to the printmaking department to create their own body of work. The residency does not include accommodation, but a grant for materials up to the value of $600 is available upon application.

The residency is available from March 1 to June 30 2013 with possible extension. Outcomes to be agreed upon with the University, but may include an exhibition at the University gallery with artist's talk.

2012 Artists for Kids Culture art auction
