PowerShift 4.10 enables you to restrict users from adding or deleting records, limit the data they can change (or even see!) on a field-by-field basis, and lock options to ensure that your documents are consistently printed.
Some examples of how you might use this feature:
give all users access to Sales Rep Inquiry (SQ) so they have contact details for outside sales people, but hide commission information
give purchasing staff the ability to assign buyers to items in Inventory Maintenance (IM) but prevent them from changing other fields or creating new items
require an entry in the Cust service rep field to make sure a CSR is assigned when a customer record is added or maintained
ensure that pick lists include barcodes, that certificate of compliance information is printed on receivers, or that bill of material notes appear on shop paper
