Having read the President's farewell message, I was going to drop Ferdinand Meyer a private thank you note, then thought why not share it?

Dear F. - Sad to read that your time as FOHBC President is coming to an end. Thank you for bringing the Federation, and the hobby into the 21st century. Your efforts and the many hours (many, many!) brought much needed changes. Your passion energized, revitalized and coordinated what was an aging, divided, and rudderless hobby. You embraced technology and fostered a greater awareness of our hobby to the public. The FOHBC website, and the coming Virtual Museum, are a testament to your vision and hard work. While change is necessary and good, it is difficult not to wish you were continuing in this position. But you can rest assured that you have layed the groundwork for the next administration to continue strengthening and growing the FOHBC. And knowing what a passionate bottle collector and historian you are, I look forward to your continuing contributions and ideas. Well done, my friend! -M.
