Roll up your #SleeveUp to #FightFlu

The Licking County Health Department (LCHD) is offering flu vaccines to children and adults in Licking County. Children age six months and older and all adults should receive a yearly flu vaccination.

Get a flu vaccination by walking-in to LCHD's Clinic, located at 675 Price Road in Newark, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 2:00pm-4:00p.m. No appointment required.

Getting a flu vaccine is more important than ever. Roll your sleeve up and help protect Licking County by getting your flu vaccine this fall. Flu vaccines have been shown to reduce the risk of flu illness, hospitalization, and death and can help save medical resources this fall and winter.

Individuals requesting a flu vaccination must bring insurance information, if applicable.

The full cost of the vaccine is able to be billed to Medicare, Medicaid, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, The Health Plan, HealthReach, HealthSCOPE, Medical Mutual, Ohio PPO Connect, United HealthCare, Aetna, and several other plans.

Individuals without insurance coverage or those covered by an insurer that LCHD cannot bill may pay out-of-pocket. Individuals age 6 months through age 18 years without insurance may be eligible for LCHD's Vaccines for Children program. LCHD's Vaccines For Children program offers reduced pricing for vaccines for children through age 18 who are uninsured or underinsured. The reduced cost for a flu vaccine is $21.25 per vaccine per child, up to a max of $40 for a family. LCHD does not refuse service for the inability to pay.

If you would like to receive the high-dose vaccine, please call ahead to ensure it is in stock. You can reach us at (740) 349-6535.
