December News!

Welcome Pirouette!!!

Have you seen our Elf????? She arrived last week and was given her magic to move on Monday and she is very sneaky!!!! We hope you enjoy her being around this year as much as we do!!! Remember not to touch her so she doesn't have to go back to the North Pole. :)

Holiday Schedule

Our Christmas/Holiday break is approaching and we will be closed with the dates that align with most schools. Please remember, we DO have classes Friday, Dec. 21 and Saturday, Dec. 22. We will resume classes on Monday, Jan.7th

Babysitting Buddies

Our dancers headed to Disney next year are holding a fundraiser you won't want to miss!! The kids LOVE this program as we have done it for several years. You drop your kids (ages 3 and up) off at the studio and our dancers play games, do crafts, paint faces and entertain them while you get some last minute shopping done, have a date night or just much needed time for you!!! Sign up at the front desk. :)

Here is the info:
  • Saturday, Dec. 15th from 5:30-8. (we will have snacks but please have them eat dinner before)
  • Cost is $15 a child or $10 a child with a family of 3 or more.
Space is limited!

Next peek week will be in January.

We will wait to announce the date once we come back from break and see how quickly the dancers will have choreography prepared for you. :)

This month's focus:

  • Community - We are doing our Giving Tree this year for the YWCA women's shelter. Grab a tag off the tree and bring the item back unwrapped. You can place the tag on the gift under the tree so we can keep track. Thank you so, so much for helping us teach our dancers the importance of giving back to our community!
  • Culture - This month we will focus on JOY!!! There is so much joy in the month of December and how can we ensure that we are sharing it with each other in class, our families and our friends at school. We will also talk about how to find joy in our dancing even when we get frustrated, don't get a part we hope for, or miss a step. It's all about growth and how we handle each situation that can give us more joy.
  • Education - For December, we thought what could be more perfect than talking to the classes about the Nutcracker. There are so many different variations and stories - even jazzy ones!!! We will show them little clips of different Nutcrackers and talk about performances.
