Congratulations to the culinary team onboard the Explorer! I can't wait to see what's for dinner!
The Suite Life
What a pleasure to be able to visit the Seven Seas Explorer and explain that every cabin onboard is a suite and every suite has an oceanfront veranda! A few of the items that most impressed me: the ultra soft and luxurious linens and towels, the upscale bath and cabin amenities, the elegant fabric and embroidered wallpaper and the plush carpeting.
Suites onboard this ship range from 350 square feet to the 4,000 square foot Regent Suite. The latter is a full two bedroom masterpiece, complete with three bathrooms, a full bar, dining area, a spa-like master bath that includes a sauna and two heated stone "lounge" chairs! The expansive wrap-around pool deck is perfect for a group cocktail event. The master bedroom boasts a $150,000 mattress (made with rare horse hair!). In the living room you will find a Steinway baby grand piano made of striped exotic wood!
Fresh flowers adorn all "named" suites and are prevalent all over the vessel. All suite hallways feature beautiful chandeliers! Art work is everywhere on this vessel - and take special note of two Picasso's that adorn the entrance of the Regent Suite. No expense has been spared. Every inch of this vessel has been built with the finest of materials and workmanship.
The Regent Seven Seas Explorer is the most all-inclusive and luxurious ship ever built. Top shelf liquor, ultra fine dining AND unlimited shore excursions make Regent an easy choice for your next incentive at sea!
Seriously, Who Writes About Lighting?
Fun fact! The Seven Seas Explorer has over 500 chandeliers! Many of them are in hallways! The lighting on this ship is spectacular. No expense has been spared.
The art work, textured wallpapers, furniture, finishes, moldings, hardware, china, silverware and amenities are all first class on this most luxurious of vessels.
To set foot onto this ship is to feel regal and privileged. This morning a champagne and caviar breakfast was served in two of the dining venues. It was truly indulgent.
If the objective of a high level incentive is to offer an experience that one would not do on their own..then the Regent Seven Seas Explorer checks all the boxes!
What's Really Cooking Onboard the Seven Seas Explorer?
We were privileged to participate in a 90 minute cooking class onboard the ship. The culinary center is run by chef Kathryn Kelly a creative food mastermind who runs a seriously tight, but fun kitchen.
This state-of-the-art hands-on facility is complete with 18 fully equipped cooking stations. We each prepared four items: deconstructed scallop rumaki, drunken fish, lemoncello cake and salad with hand-whisked vinaigrette. Everything was delicious! I have to say that it was nice having all of the ingredients prepared for us in advance as well as a crew member to clean up at the end!
