We're connecting families through play.

We want to know what you think.

Help SECA to better support families by providing feedback. Your responses will inform future programing.

Winter Adventure Play - March 7

This session will be partly snow play and partly loose parts play with the kids adding the magic, their curiosity and creativity.

- For 3 to 10 year olds with a parent.
- Park at 1611 Evergreen Drive SW
- 1:00 to 3:00 PM

- Drop in - no need to register.
- Bring your friends!

- Info via play@shawneeevergreen.ca

Save the Date:  our next Adventure Play - Sunday April 5 - 1 to 3 PM
"Loose parts engage children’s natural creativity and encourage them to invent, problem solve, and construct the world around them. Natural environments like forests provide significantly more loose parts than man-made structures, and a simple stick, as mentioned above, offers limitless possibilities." Outdoor Survival Series  - March 7

This program is delivered by Melissa Pearce of Rediscover Play and as you can see from the photo taken last session, kids love the program!

- For 9 to 12 year olds (without parents)
- 1:00 to 3:00 PM
Saturday March 7 - Fire starting + Shelters
Saturday April 25 - Theme to be determined by the March 7 group.

Registration required via Play@shawneeevergreen.ca
"Despite all the digital distractions and modern conveniences today’s children grow up with, they are still fascinated by learning basic survival skills like how to light a fire. This activity builds trust among a group, demonstrates to students that you believe they are capable and trustworthy and can transform a group of rowdy kids into a quiet, focused, patient tribe." (Shelagh Pyper, Educator, Consultant)
