Develop Your Mentoring Skills

The Sloan Foundation awarded Arizona State University a 3 year grant for its Program of Exemplary Mentoring through improvscience workshops and coaching led by Dr. Holmes. This September kicks of the first improvscience career mentoring group. The online mentoring group is a resource that can be accessed from any location and a context for developing the social, collaborative, leadership skills needed to advance one’s career. Scientists are developing their communication skills with improvisational theater training. What is it that these playful exercises teach us? American Chemical Society, SF

August 9th - 10th

The first Chemistry Champion Competition is being held by the American Chemical Society (ACS) in San Francisco. Improvscience will be there to help them prepare for the stage and round 2 of competition.

National Institute of Health

August 14th

The Graduate Partnership Program at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) brings improvscience to help graduate students build networks and make friends while learning to work creatively together.

Performing The World

October 10th - 12th
Bring activists, educators, and researchers around the world together to advance how performance supports human growth and development. Please contribute to the travel of those traveling from grassroots, international and self-funded programs. Their making the world a better place and you can help.


Grace Hopper Conference

October 8th - 10th
In Phoenix, AZ, Holmes will be co-leading a workshop on "Building Your Professional Network". If you're attending GHC, come to the Wednesday afternoon session sponsored by CRA-W (Computer Research Association's committee on Women).
