Dear Families,
Can you believe that we are just two weeks away from the end of the semester?! Our students and staff have worked so hard this semester, and I am very proud of them (as I know you are too)! We can't wait to share our work with you at our Unit 2 Exhibit Nights next week. Below you will find a schedule for the evening.

This unit we have several performances, as well as many cross-curricular displays. We know that you will enjoy exploring all there is to see and hear!
Sincerely,
Mike
Mike Stewart
Principal

News from the Executive Director

The Museum School's Board of Directors is in the process of drafting a new strategic plan and is eager to hear from you! Please complete this survey by December 16 to share your ideas. These questions are specifically designed to get your feedback on the overall vision and strategy of the school; daily, operational feedback is best given through school-based surveys and questionnaires.
We expect to share the new strategic plan at the May 2023 State of the School Address. Thank you for your support. For your reference, the current strategic plan can be found here.
Student Recruitment for the 2023-2024 school year has kicked off! We'd love your help distributing postcards to local businesses and neighborhoods that may not know of The Museum School. Please consider picking up enrollment postcards from the front desk to deliver to local recreation centers, churches, apartment complexes, businesses, etc.
Please note that December's Governing Board meeting has been moved to December 6 at 7:00 pm in the media center. Thank you!

6th Grade Service Project
As you clean out closets to prepare for the holidays, please consider donating gently used children's clothing, toys, and books for the sixth grade service project. Sixth graders have been learning about refugees and immigrants in ELA and Social Studies, and we'll be hosting a free holiday shop for the Atlanta immigrant community on Buford Highway. Please send all donations to Ms. Peyton's classroom by December 5. You can find more information about what we need here.

It’s hard to believe that we are almost halfway through the school year! This also means that it is time for 8th grade families to begin thinking about the high school transition process. If you have had a student go through this process already or believe you can be an asset on the high school transition advisory committee, please reach out to Mrs. Diaz via email at sheena.diaz@themuseumschool.org.
