Dear Families,
We are so excited for Exhibit Nights this week! We get to wrap up an awesome first semester with three incredible nights of students showing off what they have learned the last nine weeks. It's going to be an amazing time.
My next newsletter will not come out until after the break, so I want to say that I hope you all have an amazing break. If you get time with family and friends, I hope that it is sweet and lasting memories are made. As a new year begins to roll in, I would encourage us all to reflect on where we have been but also look ahead to where we are going. We will have one incredible semester behind us and great opportunity for the semester ahead of us. I am already excited for the awesome things the next semester will bring!
I also want to provide a staffing update. Mr. Chase, our Health teacher, is taking a PE Coach job for the second semester. This is the type of role that he has longed for, and we are excited that he gets the opportunity to walk into it. We will post the position and begin looking for a replacement immediately. In the interim, we will have those classes fulfilled by a combination of qualified individuals. Mr. Chase's last day will be this Friday, so make sure to send him off with your well wishes.
Some exciting news...we are going to begin the sport court installation on the outdoor basketball court very soon. We are under contract for the work to begin shortly. We can't wait to see the end result of this new, fresh version of this space. I want to give another shout out to our Foundation for their amazing work through Boosterthon to help make this happen. Thank you all as well for your generosity and for sharing with friends and family about Boosterthon, so that our students can experience this great new space.
I'm looking forward to seeing you in the morning. Let's have another great week.
Sincerely,
Mike
Mike Stewart
Principal

The Museum School's Board of Directors is in the process of drafting a new strategic plan and is eager to hear from you! Please complete this survey by December 16 to share your ideas. These questions are specifically designed to get your feedback on the overall vision and strategy of the school; daily, operational feedback is best given through school-based surveys and questionnaires.
We expect to share the new strategic plan at the May 2023 State of the School Address. Thank you for your support. For your reference, the current strategic plan can be found here.
Student Recruitment for the 2023-2024 school year has kicked off! We'd love your help distributing postcards to local businesses and neighborhoods that may not know of The Museum School. Please consider picking up enrollment postcards from the front desk to deliver to local recreation centers, churches, apartment complexes, businesses, etc.

Hi Families,
We will have free COVID tests again next Thursday and Friday at both drop off and pick up locations for you to have over the break if needed. We would recommend that if you are traveling or seeing family and friends in large gatherings over the break that you test your child/children upon returning to school. We hope everyone has such a wonderful break!

High School Transition
It’s hard to believe that we are almost halfway through the school year! This also means that it is time for 8th grade families to begin thinking about the high school transition process. If you have had a student go through this process already or believe you can be an asset on the high school transition advisory committee, please reach out to Mrs. Diaz via email at sheena.diaz@themuseumschool.org.
