Former President of NSO Board and Newark, DE resident, Peter Caws, age 88, peacefully passes at home. Peter, philosophy professor at George Washington University, served on NSO board starting 2004, and as President 2007-2010. He was always present in our audience, sharing his love for classical music, encouraging our youth soloists, and led the orchestra through our new music director search in 2009.
Take time to listen to Peter share meditations in The Book of Hylas, a special project his musician son Matthew Caws arranged with the Parkington Sisters in November 2019.
Thank you Peter, may peace and music be with you always, Newark Symphony Orchestra
