Latest news on the lives of the children at Messef

Dear <<First Name>>,

With generous support from some of our Friends, we've managed to make a monthly food run to Messef throughout this year. There seem to be a lot of new faces and some familiar ones missing.  Messef is more of a mobile community than in the past, due to government interventions, but we remain committed to helping the children as much as possible.

If you contributed to the Bakery Appeal; don't lose heart! Negotiations are once again taking place to try to bring the equipment from Brazil.  Donated funds are secure to complete the project when we can move ahead and the two apprentices are still in training.  Things here usually take much longer to achieve than we would like, but we have no shortage of perseverance and faith.

Here is the latest news and we hope we can once again call on your support, this time in the "A roof over their heads" appeal.
Boys' dorm needs a roof - Our goal is to get the boys sleeping in their new dormitory by Christmas and we have a new fundraising campaign on our website to raise the US$3,000 needed to finish the roof.  Please click here to read more and to donate.
Thank you all for your continuing support - you know who you are! God bless you.

Crystal Fox, from Canada, has visited the Dominican Republic many times but she made her first visit to Haiti on 7th July, along with Denise Selig and Bailey Battiste, accompanied by Pastor Quirico and Danilo from our Ministry.  You can see their album of great photos here.  Read of their impressions on our Blog in the near future.

More beds on the way - Visitors to Messef know of the chronic shortage of beds, but this is to be resolved by Julienne Lebrun and Deb Dumont Ekland of A Serving Heart, who are also involved in the Bakery project.  Julienne visited recently and wants to help. They already support The Living Christ Orphanage in Cap Haitien.
