Westbank Campus

The mission of the International School of Louisiana is to provide a challenging education emphasizing language immersion, international awareness, the celebration of diversity and community responsibility.

A message from our Associate Principal:

Dear ISL Families:

We are a little over a week away from our fall break. The scholastic book fair was held this week, and I love seeing children excited about books and reading! It has also been wonderful seeing the children in our classroom engaging in rigorous curriculum aligned activities. Teachers and students are working hard in math, science, social studies, TLA, and ELA. I have equally enjoyed my interactions with parents and guardians. The year is off to a great start!

October 31 will be our mid-semester progress reports. Please take advantage of this day to discuss your child’s progress this academic year.  Look for more information coming home about scheduling appointments with teachers after the fall break.

On a different note, I strongly encourage each and every one of you as members of the school community, to be good neighbors to the residents around the school.  Please do not park in driveways or block them during morning drop off or afternoon dismissal. The Holy Name of Mary Church along Verret St., has taken down the fence surrounding their parking lot. They have informed me that we are free to park there. I appreciate them for being kind and courteous neighbors and leading by example.  Remember, you set the example for your children. We hope to instill the same values in them. Thank you for ensuring that the ISL Westbank campus, continues to be awesome neighbors and viewed as a valued part of the community.
