TETRAMAX Newsletter, March 2021

Dear colleague,
This newsletter features a truly wide spectrum of recent project activities, ranging from the 9th TISU workshop at the HiPEAC conference, over fresh success stories from our Tech Transfer Experiment (TTX) clients, up to some TETRAMAX reflections from Japan by Techmo´s CEO Bartosz Ziółko.
With all our 11 open TTX calls successfully concluded, the project team´s focus is now on further promoting our TTX clients and raising maximum attention for their results. This is implemented e.g. via production of short video clips and an awards program for those TTX with truly outstanding impact. Another measure is the organizing of pitching events, the next one being embedded into our Industry Advisory Board (IAB) meeting on March 25, one of the major annual TETRAMAX milestones. While we cannot get together in Aachen this time, at least we do expect an even higher attendance than usual due to the online format.
The TETRAMAX team is also grateful for the European Commission´s approval of the project extension to Dec 31, 2021. This will relax the schedule of a number of TTX clients that experienced delays in their projects due to Covid-19.

Best wishes!

Transfer to Industry and Start-Ups workshop at the HiPEAC 2021 conference

This 9th edition of the TETRAMAX Transfer to Industry and Startups (TISU) workshop discussed means and ways to improve both the industry transfer as well as the motivation to transform knowledge in business ideas and start-ups.
Sandro D’Elia, Programme Officer at the European Commission, talked about the digital and green ambitions of the European Commission. Technology transfer is now brought into the digital decade by building a European network to put any company in touch with the competence they need, supported by a digital transformation accelerator.
Furthermore, eight selected TETRAMAX experiments had the opportunity to pitch their business proposition to Venture Capitalists and Angel Investors under the guidance of the international business expert Ray Garcia (Buoyant Capital, NY, USA).  The whole workshop can be viewed here: .

Industrial Advisory Board meeting in March 2021

Yearly, TETRAMAX invites all partners and representatives of the Technology Transfer Experiments (TTX) as well as the industrial advisory board in Aachen, Germany, to present the interim results, highlights and challenges of the previous completed project year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic for the first time, we are planning the meeting for the first time from our own home offices on 25 March 2021. Nonetheless, we are looking forward to talking with the different TTX representatives and have discussions on technical and business aspects with the industrial advisory board and the partners.
