Monday, Nov. 14

Creating an Altar for our
Trans & GNC Loved Ones

Stop by and help us in making an altar at the Office of LGBT Life to honor and remember those who have been lost to transphobic violence.

The Human Rights Campaign, in continuing the pioneering work of trans journalist Monica Roberts, keeps track of fatal violence against transgender individuals. Sadly, 2022 has already seen at least 32 transgender people fatally shot or killed by violent means, a number that is more than likely a significant undercount.

Join us from 11am to 1pm on Monday November 14 in AMUC 132 (the Office of LGBT Life) to honor these individuals and contribute to the love and care for our trans and GNC family.

THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL

Monday, Nov. 14

Trans & GNC Healing and Grieving Space

In recognition of Trans Day of Remembrance, join Tharyn Giovanni for a healing and grieving space dedicated to processing trans and GNC experiences related to trauma, shame, euphoria, anger, and community.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

Pop-Up Thrift Shop

Stop by and grab some FREE, gender-affirming clothing for your fabulous self! We will have racks of donated clothing of every type, a small dressing room, shoes, belts, etc!

Tuesday, November 15 from 10am to 5pm in AMUC 132 (Office of LGBT Life).

The thrift shop will be open 10am-5pm every day until November 18.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

Assigned Screenprint At Birth:

A Trans and Gender-Nonconforming Dinner and Screenprinting Workshop

Join us Wednesday night, November 16 from 6pm to 8pm for an extremely trans, amazingly ungendered, and fabulously fun screenprinting event! Dinner and supplies provided!

Come dressed in your most enby, trans, femme, masc, androgynous clothing! Be flamboyant or quiet, proud or closeted, but be ready for a fun space where everyone has experienced transness or gender-nonconformity of some shape or form.

RSVP here: https://tinyurl.com/ScreenprintGender

Have some trans or amazingly gendered art that you'd want to screenprint? Email it to soju.hokari@emory.edu BY END OF DAY TODAY, and we will include it in our screens so that anyone can print it!
