On Thursday 12 March Emma Symonds of CBM speaks on the Rights of Women with Disabilities

Emma Symonds will speak on the Rights of Women with Disabilities
at our Amnesty meeting on Thursday 12 March 2020 
at 7.30pm at the Friends Meeting House, Jesus Lane, Cambridge CB5 8BA.

Emma Symonds works with CBM UK, an NGO working in the poorest communities in Africa and Asia to transform the lives of people with disabilities. She leads projects to improve women's health, education and training in Bangladesh and Kenya. She also acts as the gender focal point, providing gender related input into the CBM programmes team. Prior to this, she has worked in Afghanistan on girls’ education, and in the South Caucasus on peace-building programmes.
