Hello Mighty Mite Prep Skiers,
Tomorrow is our last opportunity for training before the big Sallie McNabb Cup next week. We'll be practicing the full length course on Gold Hill (same as the race) and discussing race rules, how the timing works, and other details to get prepared for a fun and successful event.
You do not need to register for the Sallie McNabb Cup. Prep skiers are already entered. If you are NOT racing next week, please let me know. Watch for my email next week with all of the details for this event.
It will be COLD tomorrow -- around 20 degrees, with some wind, and snowy. Be prepared with a face covering, dry gear, and mittens (better than gloves). Groups might need to take a short warm-up break in the lodge. There's 8" of new today and possibly up to a foot more by morning. Parents will be having a powder day and groups will be ripping it up too, when not in the gates. We were hoping to take the u12 groups and some of the u10 groups on an adventure to the South Back tomorrow. However, conditions are not looking favorable. If it lightens up, it might be an option. Safety first.
Please allow some extra time getting to Crystal in the morning. There may be snow on the roads, and a construction delay on Hwy 410;
Stay Tuned,
Paul Clarke
