These are such exciting times: our baby has finally arrived! We welcomed our beautiful, healthy son into the world on Friday February 21st at 07:09.
My first solo exhibition is also approaching, my family from the Netherlands are here and if that weren't exciting enough, I'm proud to announce that my wonderful husband, Scott Brion, is running for Congress!(Pennsylvania's 10th District).
Needless to say, it's a very hectic time, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
Win a $150 Gift Card
With so many reasons to celebrate, I'm holding a sweepstakes and I'm giving away two gift cards worth $150! Choose your favorite painting (by me, obviously) and enter for a chance to win a gift card that can be used towards the purchase of a painting in my current exhibition, any painting not included in the exhibition (e.g. a future painting) or a commission.
You can enter the sweepstakes at the opening reception at the Gmeiner Center on March 2nd until 4 pm or you can enter starting today through the current exhibition page on my website.
Good luck!
The stories behind a painting
I recently started a blog where I share stories about my paintings. I've been uploading a painting every week and through my facebook page, I've noticed that people really like it. It may sound strange but I am not always aware why I paint what I paint and forcing myself to write about my paintings helps me to take a step back and define what motivates me. I've come to realize that this is an important part of art making. Click here to visit my blog www.artbybibisnelderwaardbrion.wordpress.com
Alas, no mystery animal painting
I was hoping to put in one last painting for my show but did't succeed. luckily, you as subscribers, will be the first to get a preview once I'm able to paint again and the mystery animals provide me with the right composition.
I hope to recover quickly and to see you all at the opening reception!
If you have enjoyed this newsletter, I encourage you to share it with anyone and everyone. I am trying to build a bigger audience for my work and can only succeed with the help of friends like you.
