Dear Supporter,

You will have seen this week's news of fresh claims that hacking was rife at The Sun under its former editor, Rebekah Brooks, showing once again why the Prime Minister must keep his promises to the public and victims to complete the Leveson Inquiry by commencing part two when all the trials are over.

News Group Newspapers has always denied that any hacking activity took place at its sister tabloid, The Sun. But now former journalists and private investigators, who were commissioned to hack or blag, have provided witness statements alleging that the practice was “endemic” and was "known about by Ms Brooks.” Lawyers acting for five phone hacking victims who are accusing the Sun say that if the judge allows these initial cases to include the Sun, scores of other cases could follow.

Four months ago, Brooks was reinstated as Chief Executive of News UK and just a few weeks ago, Rupert Murdoch welcomed her and the Prime Minister to his London home for an intimate Christmas gathering of “a few dozen friends”. They want a return to ‘business as usual’.

We musn’t let them get away with it.
