MOUNT FOREST BEADERY
Karin Nelson of Mount Forest Beadery is a Washington native who grew up in Woodinville, and now resides with her family in Monroe. She is surrounded by beads, both at home and at work, where she is manager of Garden of Beadin at Bothell Country Village. Though not formally trained as an artist, Karin has been beading for over twenty years, and in the past has taught beading classes. With a background in retail, she began selling her own work in 2009.
She expresses her creativity through bead weaving, crochet and wire knitted jewelry. In all of the different beading techniques that Karin uses in her jewelry design, she loves to play with color and texture.
Karin has been a familiar face at Duvall Farmers Market for a number of years, selling her creations intermittently throughout the season alongside her daughter Grace. They both enjoy interacting with customers and helping them to find the perfect piece of jewelry for either themselves or as a gift.
