January 2022
Triangle ESO Network Meetup
Happy New Year!

We took December off from our monthly meeting and newsletter but we're back and ready to face 2022 head on! It was great to see so many active faces on the screen last week. We encourage everyone to participate in the monthly meetings and to submit any updates to the group so that we can pass relevant information on within our networks.

As of now, we are paying attention to pandemic to determine whether or not the February 17th gathering will be held in-person or done virtually. If you have not received an e-mail invitation to hold the 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. slot on that day, please RSVP to by February 13th.

NC IDEA's Spring Grant Cycle Begins
Jan. 31!

Whether you have just launched a startup or are looking to grow and scale your company, NC IDEA has resources that can help in the success of your journey when and where you need it most.

Early stage, growth-oriented companies can apply for one of two different NC IDEA grants between January 31 and February 28.

NC IDEA MICRO awards $10K project-based grants to young companies looking to validate and advance their idea.
NC IDEA SEED offers $50K grants to early stage companies, often the critical funding they need to scale faster.
Learn more about the NC IDEA Spring 2022 grant here.
*** Note: Applicants may only apply to either MICRO or SEED (not both) during the grant cycle.***

Startup Champions Network Summit 2022

This year's Startup Champions Network Summit will be held from April 4-6. To make the summit successful, SCN is looking to hire an Event Coordinator. If you know of anyone who could be a good fit, please have them reach out to Fay at by February 11.

News from the Network

Many thanks to Lauren Romer of Raleigh Founded for pulling all the links from last week's Zoom. You can find the list of Triangle ESO partner updates here.

If you have any upcoming events to add, we encourage you to share them here so that we can get them into next month's newsletter.

Lastly, we are working on a directory page so that we can all stay connected and strengthen relationships across the Triangle. Be on the lookout for that resource in next month's newsletter.
