Not All Plant Foods Are Healthy

We used the term whole-food, plant-based diet in Forks Over Knives because the film's main experts were discussing not only eliminating or minimizing animal foods like meat, dairy, and eggs; but doing the same for highly refined foods, like bleached flour, refined sugar and oil. An Oreo cookie, for example, while free of animal-based ingredients, is not the kind of food that the FOK experts had in mind when the goal was good health.
