I Overcame a Life of Meat, Junk Food
and Sickness by Adopting a Plant-Based Diet

By Craig Greene

For years, I lived the fat life … big rare T-bones, grilled lamb chops, dirty martinis, fried calamari appetizers, large pieces of chocolate cake, and often a pack-a-day habit. By 2012 I had blossomed to 242 pounds and was sporting a 42-inch waist. Read the full testimonial here.

Lentil Vegetable Soup

By Heather McDougall

This soup is a favorite of my boys and so easy to make. I think one of the reasons they like it, is because I chop all of the vegetables really small. And, like most of the soups I make, if you don’t have an ingredient, such as carrot or spinach, leave it out or substitute another favorite ingredient. View the recipe here.

Food Shots

We made some oil-free veggie burgers for the holiday weekend. What plant-based dishes did you serve up? Please share your thoughts with us on our Facebook page.

We had this nice Garden Wrap for takeout from A Votre Sante in Los Angeles. This Brentwood neighborhood cafe offers many healthy plant-based choices ... We especially enjoy the oil-free vegan soups, which are on the menu every day.

Eating generous amounts of fruit after an intense workout sure hits the spot for us.

Fresh, sweet blueberries ... up close and personal.

So many different kinds of berries to eat. These are golden raspberries and mulberries.
