The Chicken Industry Loves Federal Handouts

The demand for chicken is down, so the federal government announced on September 6 that it is buying 138.7 million pounds of unwanted chicken products. The price of meat and dairy products have long been suppressed by federal subsidies which, in our opinion, have been of great detriment to public health and animal welfare.
