As a PCS parent, grandparent, alumni, or general supporter, I wanted to send you a short note about today's provincial announcement. As Jennifer Whiteside, Minister of Education noted, the intent is to "strengthen and update our K-12 health and safety measures."
You may already be aware of the new Heath and Safety protocols that have been released for schools. They can be found on the BC Covid-19 safe schools website and specifically on this new Covid-19 school guideline document.
We will be implementing the new guidelines - mostly around new masking protocols - to help ensure community safety and we will be meeting as a leadership team to determine specifics. Please watch for an email on Monday that will outline the new protocols for the school.
Thank you for journeying with us through the pandemic. I am thankful for the wonderful staff and parents who have worked so diligently to maintain the Covid-19 protocols. Your prayers for wisdom, endurance and safety are appreciated.
