It was great to see you back this week! While it couldn’t be called ‘back to normal’, it came close. The halls, classes and playground had activity, laughter and learning, and the teachers were happy to see the students. We appreciate your willingness to accommodate your staggered drop off and pick up times as well, and our parking lot ran very smoothly. The new routines are being accepted very well by the students; they follow the ‘feet’ in our hallways, and I’ve heard the singing of Happy Birthday many times as students use it as a timer for the washing of their hands.
That said, we know not everyone has returned to school. Our online delivery continues for those of you settled into a routine, and your teachers are continuing to teach and support those at home.
The next few weeks are going to go very quickly; our final day of in person and online instruction is June 19th, and we’re working on plans to wrap up our year. We know the end of school for each grade is a significant event, and we’ll be giving you information on that as soon as we can. As well, our grade sevens are at an important milestone, and we are working through options that allow us to celebrate their accomplishment while continuing to function in our distanced format. Details of this will follow.
Blessings on you as you go into the weekend,
