A book in two parts, it is the result of many years of research into the early history of Rawdon Township where all my ancestors settled between 1824 and 1832.
Up To Rawdon

Dear Friends of Up To Rawdon:

Five years ago, I was eagerly anticipating the publication of my two volumes on the history and families of Rawdon Township. It took years to amass the material and to gain the experience of organizing and editing. With the dedicated work of my technical advisor, Bill Eadie, Up To Rawdon came to pass in February 2013 and it has been a help to many of you (or so you kindly say).

This letter marks the 32nd update of the website with new or corrected information and photographs that were not in the published book. Thank you to all those who have shared photographs from family archives of individuals (or their children and grandchildren) who are mentioned in Up To Rawdon. I hope that everyone will take time to peruse the collection of “pink columns” and be informed by the additions and the interesting photos that were posted today and over the past five years. I believe that this is a unique genealogical source with data found nowhere else on the web. I would appreciate hearing your comments or suggestions.

Working on these updates over the years has brought me many friends and I am always touched by the close feelings that many of you have for your ancestors and for their first home in Canada. Warm regards, and may you find happiness and success in 2018.
