May is Arthritis Awareness month. Affecting over 54 million people in the US, arthritis is an umbrella term that covers more than 100 health conditions, including gout, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
To support arthritis awareness, this month I interviewed Dr. Steffany Moonaz. Dr. Moonaz is the Director of Research at Maryland University of Integrative Health and the founder of the Yoga for Arthritis (YFA) teacher training program. In addition to training teachers to provide therapeutic yoga for those living with arthritis, YFA offers a wealth of resources for anyone living with chronic pain or autoimmune conditions.
While many of us remain sheltered, the need for connection, support, and self-care continues to be essential for well-being. Please watch and share this short interview to learn more about Dr. Moonaz’s work and how you can support yourself and/or those you love who are living with arthritis.
Check out "RFL Recommends" below, where we feature another outstanding resource on arthritis. Stay well!
